There are some people that are truly blessings in my life and one of them is my best friend and sorority little, Melissa.

Melissa and I met the first Shiloh of the year when she was freshman and ended up exchanging phone numbers. A few weeks later, we got coffee and talked for a couple of hours. I ended up telling her my rush story and how I just wanted a little and she laughed told me that would be my little.

I had no idea what the friendship that would come with that, we started talking, hanging out, and quickly became best friends. She is a constant encouragement to me, is always there for me, and listens when I need to vent about things. She has walked with me through one of the hardest years of my life and understood to best of her ability the things I was dealing with and how homesick I was getting.

Melissa is a diva and doesn’t like to be but sometimes, you just have to own it. I love her more words than say and I’m so glad I got up the courage to talk to her that night on the front steps of Reid because my life would not be the same without her.

Happy 21st Birthday, I can’t wait to celebrate! Thank you being the best friend a girl could ask for, Sorority Little. I love you to the moon and back.
