My January.

I’m finally back at school, about to head to Banner Drop actually. I’m getting settled in for 3 weeks of craziness called Step Sing that is by far, my favorite time of the year. I’ve been blessed to be apart of University Ministries show for the 4th year in a row and I’m in love with our show after the first practice. I love being in Co-Ed show, LOVE IT. But this post isn’t about Step Sing, that will be in three weeks when I can actually talk about the show.

But I spent my JanTerm at home and running all over the place. The beginning of the month was spent at Passion 2013 with my friend Morgan and some of her friends. I loved every second of it and learned a lot, I can’t wait to see how God uses it throughout the year.

On my way home, I stopped to see my friend, Lindsey and talk to her about her wedding plans and getting excited about being a bridesmaid. My Friday night was spent talking about Passion and seeing my friend Hayley off to South Africa. It was a fun night and I’m glad I got to see her before she left.

I spent the next week in New Orleans with Jonathan and Tiffany. I got to go look at seminary and explore some of the city with Tiffany, of course. I loved my time with them and I enjoyed NOLA.

I got to go to Bible Study for a couple weeks and dive in The Pursuit of Holiness by Jerry Bridges. I can’t wait to see how the Lord uses it in my life for this semester and in the future.

MLK weekend was spent in Athens with my best friend, Rachel. It was my first time in Athens and I loved every second of it. We got to go to a Gym Dogs met, explore downtown, and we ate at Mama’s Boy and Last Resort. It was a fun weekend and I loved getting to spend time with Rachel, Ada, and Caroline.

I loved being home and will miss having my January’s off. I can’t believe that I start my very last semester of college tomorrow. It’s all so surreal and bittersweet. In some ways, I’ve excited about graduation and in other ways, I don’t want to graduate. This semester is going to be crazy but I’m looking forward to it. I can’t wait to see what the Lord has planned. But for now, I’m excited about Step Sing and the next three weeks of craziness.

Off to Banner Drop. Go UM! 🙂
