I’m late. I know but it’s been crazy and in my defense, it was written! Expect a 2013 and Passion post in the next couple weeks but for now, enjoy my “year in review post”
It seems appropriate on this day to reflect on the past year. It’s been a great one but hard one in many ways.
I rang in the New Year in London last year with great friends, a few feet from Big Ben, it was an amazing experience and I loved every second of it. The rest of January was spent in London or traveling around Europe.
February has quickly become my favorite month because of Samford and Step Sing. I participated in University Ministries show for the 3rd year and we were Ninjas. Step Sing is always fun and this past one as no different. I love my UM crew.
March brings Spring Break and I got to spend it in Orlando with great friends. We saw Hunger Games, did Disney and Universal, and had a blast.
April was the E-Women conference in Birmingham with my mom and some of her friends.
I started off May by surprising my mom to hear her share her testimony and ended May with my 21st birthday in Chicago with my wonderful friend Hannah and youth camp.
June, July, and August can be summed up in two words: Internship and Olympics. [for more on my summer check this post]
September was spent adjusting to senior life.
October began wedding season, after a trip to Atlanta to spend a weekend with a wonderful friend. I got to see two wonderful get married and start their life together.
November was my first seminary visit and I went to two more weddings, on either end of Thanksgiving. I enjoyed spending time with family and be thankful for all the things the Lord has blessed me with.
December started out crazy because of all the things I had to get done to finish out the semester but I’m so thankful that I don’t have to worry about that in the coming semester. I’ve had about 10 friends get engaged since I got home and was even asked to be a bridesmaid for one of my dear friends. I had an awesome Christmas and even got a new car, since was a COMPLETE surprise.
I’m thankful for this year, there have been hard and happy this year. I had a big girl job for the summer and started to make decisions about next fall. My brother is doing a thousand times better. I’m learning a lot and can’t wait to see what this next year has in store!
