On June 14th, I will get on a plane and head to Cape Town, South Africa for six weeks for the summer of a lifetime. I will be working with Living Hope, an organization based out of Cape Town, as part of their Summer Project Team. The bulk of my time will be spent working with kids and teenagers in one of the townships around Cape Town, I will also be getting to know more about Living Hope, and getting to see some of what South Africa has to offer with a sight-seeing tour of the Garden Route.
I am so excited about this trip and I can’t believe it’s finally here. It all came into so fast and SA has been on my heart since Hayley Catt has been there since January, even though she’ll be home the whole time I’m gone. I’m thankful for friends who have gone on this trip before me.
I can’t wait to meet my team members and get to know the kids in townships where I will be. I’m looking forward to all the adventures that this will entail and what all I will learn and how I will grow while I’m there.
Ruth Anne just saw the photo. What an beautful place. lol
