Championing Other Writers

I’ve always been a reader, I’ve always loved to read and I read REALLY fast, like I can a read a novel in an afternoon with no issue, I read all seven Harry Potter in a span of six weeks freshmen year of college. Once I got into writing, I’ve realized just how important it is to be a reader and to champion other people’s work. Which is what I’m going to do today.

I was honored to be on the book launch team for Kaitlyn Bouchillon‘s IMG_9214Even If Not: Living, Loving, and Learning the In Between

I’ve officially finished the book and y’all, I don’t know that I have the words that will actually describe just how much this book spoke to exactly where I am. Kaitlyn is honest and open in her writing which what helps the book just sink into your heart. She uses scripture and her own life experiences to communicate the timeless truth that “Even If Not, I will still worship and love you, Lord.”

Then there’s L.A. Wilcox who I’ve gotten to know since I discovered her blog and read her first book Renegade. Her second book,FullSizeRender Regent

came out this weekend. It picks up right where Renegade left off. Regent continues the time-traveling story of Andrew, who is from 2058 Dallas and Elizabeth, who is from 1770 Boston. Laura has a way of sucking you into the story and I love all the time-traveling information, she does an awesome job of explaining that world. If you decide read this one, which I highly recommend, you need to read Renegade or you will be totally lost. But the good news is that Renegade $0.99 (for Kindle) and Regent is $3.99.

I’m thankful for the opportunity to be able to champion these two awesome women who are stellar writers and I know that someday soon, they will return the favor for me!
