It’s time for Community Brew with Madison and Rachel again. I’ve missed the last couple because I went MIA in the blogosphere but I’m back and participating again. So, I’ll treat you to a PSL because with it being fall, that’s what I’m drinking and let’s have a little chat about gratitude.
Gratitude is an attitude that we have to continually cultivate and work on. There is so much in this life to be thankful for and we can get so caught up in our own little world that we don’t stop to thank God. So here are 5 things I’m grateful for today:
1. My Family
Things are not always perfect but I’m thankful for my parents and my brothers and all that they do for me. I also have an incredible extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins that I would be lost without. Even in the hard times, we are there for each other.
2. My Friends
I’ve talked about my friends more times than I can count so I won’t do it again. But I will say this: they are awesome and I don’t what I’d do without them. No matter how far apart we may be.
3. My School
I moved to North Carolina just over a year ago to embark on this new adventure called Seminary and I have been so incredibly blessed by the friends I’ve made, the professors I’ve had, and the classes I’m taking.
4. My Job
In March, I started working at Young’s Gym and didn’t know how blessed I would be. I love what I do and the people I work with. The Lord knew what He was doing when I got my job.
5. My Church(es)
I have found an incredible place to get involved in Bay Leaf. I’m beginning to build a great community there. I’ve started serving in the youth group and am already loving my 6th grade girls. But just because I’ve found a great church doesn’t mean I don’t miss Sherwood because I do. November 9th can’t get here soon enough, I’m so ready to see the new building and sit under Pastor Michael again.
These things are ones that I don’t normally think about because I’m around them week in and week out.
What are you thankful for?
This is such a great list! So many things to be grateful for. It’s amazing how you and your friends have remained close depite the distance!
