24 things I love on my 24th Birthday

Today is my 24th birthday and I’ll be celebrating with Diet Coke and Chocolate Chip Cookies (and watching Grey’s, but let’s be real that’s daily occurrence). So, in honor of my 24th birthday, here is a list of 24 things that I love:

1. Jesus

I got saved when I was seven and the Lord is who gets me through everyday

2. Family

Family on the Thanksgiving Cruise

My mom, dad, brothers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins…they are some of the most important people in my life

3. Friendship

Wonderful Friends

I don’t think much needs to said, just scroll and you can read one of the many posts I’ve written about friendship

4. Writing

Book

Stories fascinate me, they always have. Everyone has a different story because they were all the same, life would be so boring.

5. Samford University

Samford

Bow Wow Bulldogs. Birmingham will always hold a piece of my heart. I’m so proud to call that beautiful, incredible school my alma mater.

6. Middle school girls

All the crazy 7th grade girls getting ready to do the Harlem Shake!

I’ve been working with middle school girls since I was middle school girl. I teach 6th grade Sunday school and there is never a dull moment.

7. Sherwood Baptist Church

9. Cape Town, South Africa

Most Beautiful Place on earth. Take me back.

10. Women who invest in me

There is just something incredible about having some godly women who text on bad day and know they are going to pray for you.

11. Etsy

I love Etsy. I love supporting small businesses and friends. I think Etsy is an incredible thing. This the gallery wall in my room and many of the things up there are from Etsy. The painting at the top is from my graduation trip and it’s from Greece. The map directly under it from Truly Yours Design Co and says: If your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough. The Georgia print is from Stay Gold Media. Print on the left from Rachel‘s shop, Oh Simple Joys and says: How deep the Father’s love for us. The center photo is my favorite picture from South Africa. The prints on either side of it are from Pen & Paint.  They say: Left: there is nothing that cannot happen today. Right: Dream Big and Make it Happen. The small oil is of Table Mountain in Cape Town. The square dream big was college graduation gift from Mrs. Phyllis. The hoops and never let go of your dreams canvas are from the Rustic Orange. The hoops say: left: not all who wander are lost. Right: Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders. The floral print was birthday gift from Lacy and it says: dream big, be grateful, give love.

12. Monograms

Like any good southern girl, I love monograms and most things I use on regular basis are monogrammed.

13. Sunsets

Beautiful Sunset

Sunsets are my love language

14. Dream

15. Shondaland

If you need me on Thursday night, chances are I’m going to be sitting in front my TV watching #TGIT.

16. London, England

I could easily live in London, it’s awesome.

17. Country Music

It’s what my radio is tuned to

18. Florence, Italy  My favorite place Jackie and I traveled. I’d love to go back.

19. Harry Potter  I read all seven books in a span of 6 weeks freshmen year and it was our Step Sing theme sophomore year.

20. Instagram  Social media of choice (in case you missed Tuesday’s post). I can blow it up at times.

21. FRIENDS

Junior year of college, my suitemates and I would all watch the two hours that Nick at Nite aired before going to bed.

22. Romantic Comedies

I love me some RomComs and a few of favorites are Sweet Home Alabama, Made of Honor (what can I say, I love McDreamy) and The Proposal.

 23. Netflix

I have a such a love/hate relationship with Netflix because I’m a horrible binge watcher

24. Kate Walsh’s hair

I have major hair envy. True Story: I considered dying my hair red for like three weeks after finishing Private Practice

I’ll back Tuesday with another list of women who inspire me!
